about us

  • Zesto nourishes people through plant based food and drink to live healthier, happier lives.

We’re passionately committedto serving delicious, nutritious food made from the freshest organic and locally sourced fruits and vegetables available to us. It’s what we do best. Everything on our menu is free of gluten, dairy, egg, corn, soy, vinegar, citric acid, preservatives, industrial seed oils and GMO’s and will make your taste buds smile.

Our definition of hospitality is that the details matter. We like to think of our food as elevated plant based cuisine.

Many of the recipes created in our kitchen are based on the season, some are heirloom recipes that have been passed down through friends and family, and some follow recipes created by Anthony William, Medical Medium. Some of what we make is fat and salt free, and some of what we make is made with coconut and olive oil.

We do our best to give our guests a wide range of plant based food whole foods that are mostly vegan, with the exception that we have honey in the house.

Our workplace is inclusive. We love being a good neighbor and support our community and other local businesses often. You’ll often see us at community events doing what we can to support our local schools and causes.

From packaging to cleaning products, everything we use at Zesto is green, sustainable and friendly to our community and to the planet. We even take the extra step to compost all of our food waste in collaboration with a local farm.

We strive to do our best and we continue to learn a how to make the world a better and healthier place for all every day.

about Tammy Metz

A place that serves food that heals, is the dream come to life for Zesto owner and founder Tammy Metz. A physical therapist for over 30 years, trained and practicing at one of New York City’s top hospitals, and most recently locally, Tammy specialized in helping people with neurology and trauma injuries to heal.

She’s seen first hand how important food is in healing the body, mind and emotions. Her knowledge came home in 2020 when she was diagnosed with cancer. A combination of traditional medicine and using food as medicine outlined by Anthony William, Medical Medium is what Tammy credits for helping her to heal and enjoy living a full life now.

The heartbeat and visionary of Zesto, Tammy has a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from Columbia University, and a Certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from Cornell at the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. She’s learned from well known complementary medical practitioners including Dr. Cathleen King, Amber Vizzacarro, Dr. Kimberly Spair, and Muneeza Ahmed.
